Wilburn & Masterson was founded in 1977 by Ray Wilburn, who spent most of its first 20 years in insurance defense practice. Over the last 20 years, our practice has shifted it focal point to represent accident victims and their families.

Ray H. Wilburn graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.A. in Political Science in 1951 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law with distinction. He speaks Spanish and English, and was a member of the Phi Beta Gamma fraternity. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel from 1999 to present. His practice areas include personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, insurance defense and bad faith, medical malpractice, worker’s compensation and products or premises liability.
Michael J. Masterson graduated with a B.S. in Business in 1978 from Oklahoma State University and received his Juris Doctor in 1981 from University of Oklahoma College of Law. His areas of practice include personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, insurance defense and bad faith, worker’s compensation, medical malpractice, and products or premises liability. He continues to hone his skills with continued seminars and classes, particularly on insurance defense and bad faith. He received an Exception Performance Citation in 1992 from the Defense Research Institute and Recognition of Appreciation in 1991 and 1992 from the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel. E-Mail me
Alberto Franco is an associate with Wilburn & Masterson who joined the firm in 2007. He graduated with a B.S. in Management from University of Illinois at Chicago in 1989 and received his Juris Doctor in 2007 from the University of Tulsa College of Law. He received a CALI Award in Law & Literature in 2006 and a CALI Award for Family Law in the World Community in 2006. His is a proud member of the local bar associations, we as well as the Hispanic National Bar Association and American Bar Association.
